Publication Ethics

JRBS upholds the highest publication ethics. Responsibilities are shared by authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

  1. Duties of Authors
  • Ensure originality and accuracy of manuscripts
  • Avoid plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or duplication
  • Properly cite all sources and acknowledge contributors
  • Disclose conflicts of interest
  • Notify editors of errors post-publication and cooperate in corrections/retractions
  1. Duties of Editors
  • Decide on manuscript publication based on quality, originality, and relevance
  • Maintain fair, unbiased evaluation (no discrimination)
  • Ensure confidentiality and double-blind peer review integrity
  • Take action on ethical misconduct (plagiarism, fabrication, duplication)
  1. Duties of Reviewers
  • Provide objective, constructive feedback
  • Treat manuscripts as confidential
  • Identify uncited relevant work or possible misconduct
  • Decline if unqualified or conflict of interest exists
  1. Duties of the Publisher
  • Safeguard editorial independence
  • Ensure ethical publishing practices
  • Handle misconduct cases per COPE guidelines
  1. Plagiarism and Malpractice
  • All manuscripts are plagiarism-checked
  • >20% similarity → rejection
  • Misconduct (plagiarism, fabrication, duplication) → rejection or retraction
