
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Cahaya Logos: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the published works. The process is carried out as follows:
Submission Check
- The editorial office screens each submission for compliance with the journal’s focus, scope, and author guidelines.
- Manuscripts are also checked for plagiarism using similarity detection software.
Initial Editorial Review
- The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Section Editor evaluates whether the manuscript meets the basic requirements for novelty, clarity, and contribution to community service practices.
- Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.
Double-Blind Peer Review
- Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
- Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process to ensure fairness and objectivity.
Reviewer Evaluation
- Reviewers are asked to assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:
- Relevance to community service and engagement.
- Originality and significance of the contribution.
- Methodological soundness and clarity of implementation.
- Quality of analysis, discussion, and conclusions.
- Adherence to ethical standards and proper referencing.
Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor may decide to:
- Accept the manuscript as is.
- Request minor or major revisions.
- Reject the manuscript.
- Revision and Resubmission
Authors are given a specific timeframe to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ comments.
Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers for final approval.
Final Decision and Publication
- The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance.
- Accepted manuscripts are copyedited, typeset, and published online as open access articles.
