Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts to Cahaya Logos: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat by adhering to the following guidelines:

  1. General Guidelines
  • Manuscripts must be original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • The manuscript should be related to community service activities, including applied research, innovation, and practices that empower communities.
  • Submissions can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
  1. Manuscript Format
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
  • Length: 4,000–8,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.
  • Paper size: A4 (210 × 297 mm), margins 2.5 cm on all sides.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.
  • Referencing style: APA 7th edition.
  1. Structure of Manuscript
  • Manuscripts should generally follow the structure below:
  • Title (concise and informative, maximum 15 words).
  • Author(s) and Affiliation(s) (full name, institutional affiliation, and email address of the corresponding author).
  • Abstract (150–250 words, written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, followed by 3–5 keywords).
  • Introduction (background, literature review, objectives, significance).
  • Method (description of community service program, participants, procedures, and methods of implementation).
  • Results and Discussion (findings, outcomes, challenges, and their implications for community empowerment).
  • Conclusion and Recommendations (summary of key findings and suggestions for future practice or policy).
  • Acknowledgment (if any, e.g., funding sources, partners, institutions).
  • References (only sources cited in the text, following APA 7th edition).
  1. Tables and Figures
  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, Figure 1, etc.).
  • Titles should be clear and descriptive.
  • Images must be of high quality (minimum 300 dpi).
  1. Submission and Review Process
  • All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer review process.
  • Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments.
  • The editorial board reserves the right to edit manuscripts for clarity, style, and format without altering the substance.
  1. Publication Fee
  • The journal does not charge any submission fees or article processing charges (APC). Publication is free of charge.
  1. Plagiarism Policy
  • Manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software.
  • The acceptable similarity index is less than 20%.
  1. Copyright and Open Access
  • Authors retain copyright of their articles.
  • All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.
